If you've visited us lately you will know that the issue that lies the heaviest on our hearts at the moment is little baby Z's life-saving heart operation. We received great news today!! After a consultation with the Pediatric Cardiologist, Dr Lindy Mitchell,  Baby Z has been accepted by the Walter Sisulu Pediatric Cardiac Foundation and is now on the waiting list to have her operation done.

This is wonderful news and fills our house with happiness and hope.  The Walter Sisulu Pediatric Cardiac Foundation still needs to find funding for this operation and we are asking you to please help us to save the life of Baby Z.    They made is super easy to make a donation, either a direct eft - click here for their banking details -  or sms the word 'Believe' to 42400 to make a R30 donation.

We can truly not believe that it's June already and halfway through 2011!!

It has been a wonderful year and we have been so blessed, since the beginning of this year 10 of our babies have been adopted.

The Big Shoes Foundation have once again given our caretakers, or mamas' as they are called at the Florida baby house house a 5 day basic health training. This training includes : First Aid Level 1,  Nutrition,  Development & Milestones,  HIV,  Admin and Palliative care.

The training we receive from the Big Shoes Foundation empowers us to do our jobs the best way we possibly can and gives us the knowledge that we need to make sure that our orphaned babies are healthy and happy.

The month-old baby was stolen from their house of safety yesterday.
We can not imagine how shattered we would be is something like that happened at the Florida Baby House.

News reports suspect that the woman who stole the baby knew the baby and was not stealing just any random baby.

It has been a while but I'll give you a nice update of what has been happening at the Florida baby House during the month of February. 

Five babies were adopted from our baby house during November and December by new loving parents.

Two new born babies arrived on Christmas eve on our doorstep and we felt  fortunate to look after them for their first Christmas and until their they find their own permanent loving family.
